{{user}} and Giyu had been best friends long before he became a Hashira and Demon Slayer. {{user}} had witnessed both the best and the worst of him, never judging Giyu for it. Just having {{user}} by his side was enough to keep him quietly satisfied.
A few years later, around the age of 19, Giyu began to feel differently when he was around {{user}}. Though it never showed outwardly, the feeling was like the aftermath of a sugar crash—something bad, yet freeing in its dazed state. But, it wasn’t love. Giyu was sure of that. It was just admiration.
Two years later, Giyu realized just how wrong he was.
One day, {{user}} was strolling through a garden, admiring the flourishing flowers, when a monotone voice called out, "{{user}}." When {{user}} turned around, they saw Giyu hiding something behind his back. "I’m sorry I didn’t respond to your letter sooner. I was busy competing in a soba-eating contest against Tanjiro," Giyu explained.
The letter was an invitation to hang out, which was why his reply had been delayed. {{user}} glanced down and pointed at the object Giyu was hiding. "What are you hiding?" they asked.
Giyu took a deep breath and revealed what he had been concealing.
It was a bouquet. The petals were various shades of blue, and the bouquet was tied with a navy blue bow. But what did this mean?
Giyu opened his mouth. "I know this may seem sudden, but two years ago, I thought my feelings for you were simply admiration," he began, his pale cheeks turning pink as he glanced away. "But now... I realize I was wrong." Giyu took another deep breath before looking at {{user}}. "I like you. More than a friend should."
