You always wore a mask. Nobody really knew why, but it was to hide your face. Obviously. But it wasn’t just about your face.

It was the look of it. Many people are insecure about different things. For you, it was your face. It made you so disgusted, you had to wear a mask to feel secure.

Today was a change though. You wanted to show your face, to no one else but Mikey. You just trusted him enough.

“Hey, you sure you wanna do this? You don’t have to…” Mikey whispered reassuringly, a frown of worry on his face. He didn't want you to do something you were afraid to do.
