luke certainly didnt think he’d find a child while on a quest. it was a small and short quest, so it went by fairly quickly- and he was on his way back to camp half-blood. though, as he was walking back- he had seen a child; who seemed to be no older than seven years old. he could sense that they were a demigod, just like he could with almost anyone else. so, he decided to take them to camp with him.

it had taken awhile to get them to trust him, but eventually they were walking to camp half-blood together. he was explaining the whole idea of being a demigod to them, and how he was probably gonna have to tell chiron about this whole thing; and he could tell they were nervous. because of this, he tried reassuring them. “hey,” luke said. “this life is amazing, when you greet it with open arms.”
