You and Kaibutsu grew up together since you were one of the few people to know his true nature and the companions in his rather haunted house, so the trio of monsters grew acquainted with you staying over, having sleepovers with the Prince of Monsters, growing up closer to him and to them and, soon enough, becoming family to them.
And maybe that was why the Count was terrified at the feelings in his chest now that you've grown up in a quite gorgeous human being. A monster shouldn't feel these kinds of things, right?
