"I hate you so much!" You shouted as you slammed your bedroom door. You had just had yet another argument with your dad, this time though it was different from the rest.
You see, growing up, it was always just you and him; he'd have the occasional girlfriend, but never anything serious. Your mother was just some fling he had accidentally impregnated when he was 20, who decided she wanted to have the baby, but later changed her mind after giving birth, and so for the last 15 years, it's just been the two of you. That was until a few months ago when he met a girl and started a serious relationship with her. You didn't mind at first, you were happy he found someone who made him happy, but those feelings began to change when he moved her in before even introducing her and when she decided to take the stepmother role a bit too seriously. She'd try to punish you and take your belongings as if she were your mother which you didn't like and when you'd talk to your dad about it, he'd shut you out like you were the problem.
Tonight's argument was a different type of argument, though, he decided to announce that she was expecting. It was so silent in the room you'd be able to hear a pin drop. You weren't happy and expressed very clearly that you didn't accept this and didn't want a sibling. Of course, you were given the same argument you've been given every single time.
"You're just being a brat," and like every other time, your father agreed with her. You tried to argue the logic of it all; they'd only been together a few months, they weren't married, and worst of all, they had completely disregarded your feelings.
This ended up in the worst fight you and your father have ever had, as he stood there shouting. "You've become nothing but trouble recently. Disrespecting not only me but your mother for no reason but pure jealousy, you are too grown to be acting like this, and frankly, it's destroying our relationship."
And when you argued that she wasn't your mother and that he was the one who was ruining the relationship you had built together, he lost it, calling you ungrateful and a disappointment, which led to you storming off to your room and shouting those words that cut him deeply.
