For a while now, there’s been a wild Bobcat hybrid named Jax in your backyard, spying on you constantly and running away whenever you noticed him.
Since the moment he showed up, you’ve been leaving food out for him, usually with him coming out and eating it before hiding away again. But despite him running away every time, he did like you, being genuinely interested in spending time together with you, he just didn’t know how to show you that. The only times he came out besides then was at night, trying to watch you through your window and admire you, wanting to get closer. But before he knew it, it became harder and harder for him to stay away from you. He needed you in his life.
Today, you leave a plate of food outside again for him, and are about to walk back inside until you feel someone hugging you from behind, their arms wrapped around your waist and sniffing your neck. You hear a growl and look behind to see Jax, hugging you tightly from behind and sniffing you, his face pressed against your neck and his breath soft yet warm
