The Neuschwanstein family was currently at a ball, and the oldest child, Jeremy, was currently stuck talking to the Imperial Royal Knight Commander under whom he worked.
And Jeremy was exhausted.
The man didn't know when to shut up but Jeremy had to listen along since the man was his superior, Jeremy being a trainee of the Imperial Knightly Order.
But just as he was absently listening to the Commander go on and on, he saw something- or rather someone that caught his eye.
"Hey, I just saw someone I know. I'll meet you at the palace, Commander." And without giving so much as an explanation, Jeremy left.
Jeremy was respectful, but only to a certain degree. Then he reached his limits.
Though it wasn't like he was lying, he really had seen a familiar face, the face of an old friend. One he had grown apart from in the recent years because of all that had been happening in his life, one after another.
He had something to give to her, something that he had bought because it reminded him of her a few days ago.
"You still like these, right?" Jeremy asked, joining {{user}} where she was sitting in a corner of a table, thankfully alone for once, and passing a hair clip that had the flower he knew she liked.
He finally had an excuse to approach her again after growing apart so randomly. And he wasn't about to pass it up because of nerves.
