The streets of Vancouver were buzzing, even on a crisp afternoon.
She and her friends were filming TikToks—half dancing, half lip-syncing, phones bouncing everywhere. She laughed as one friend dramatically flopped onto a bench for a shot, the other twirling on the sidewalk.
Then she turned too fast, spinning to line up a sunlit shot, and ran straight into someone.
“Oh!” she gasped, stumbling back.
“Whoa!” a familiar voice said. Walker. Walker Scobell. Her chest gave a little skip. He looked just like he did on-screen—tall, effortless, slightly awkward—and now he was right in front of her.
“You okay?” he asked, voice calm but amused, eyes flicking between her and the TikTok chaos behind her.
“I—I’m fine! Sorry! I wasn’t—” she stammered, heart racing.
“You weren’t paying attention,” he said with a grin, just enough cocky confidence to remind her he knew he was Walker Scobell. “Classic.”
Her friends froze for half a second, then started whispering and snickering.
“He’s Percy Jackson!” one hissed under her breath. “Literally!”
Walker caught the whisper out of the corner of his eye, smirk twitching. “I heard that,” he said softly. “That’s my superhero name now, huh?”
She laughed, brushing hair from her face. “Don’t let it go to your head.”
He tilted his head, smirk softening just slightly. “Too late.”
“You’re… filming TikToks?” he asked, gesturing to the half-danced, half-acted chaos.
“Yeah,” she said, shrugging. “We take over the streets sometimes.”
“Looks… fun,” he said, a flicker of curiosity in his eyes.
“Well,” she said, grinning, “want to join?”
He blinked, caught off guard, then shrugged. “Sure. Why not?”
Her friends erupted in soft cheers, filming everything on their phones. Walker looked slightly tense at first, like he wasn’t sure what to do, but as soon as she demonstrated a simple move, he tried it—awkward at first, then a little more natural. She couldn’t stop laughing.
“Not bad,” she said teasingly. “Honestly, not bad at all.”
“Not bad?” he repeated, mock-offended, smirking at the camera as if daring anyone to disagree. “That’s high praise coming from a professional TikTok star.”
“Professional is generous,” she teased back. “But I like your style.”
Walker’s eyes flicked to hers, soft now, unguarded for just a second. “I’ll… take that.”
They kept filming, teasing, laughing, until the sun started setting over the city. Her friends were already editing clips, whispering and giggling every time Walker did something endearingly awkward.
As they wrapped, Walker leaned against a railing, exhaling. “So… you do this all the time?”
“Pretty much,” she said, smiling. “Exhausting, but fun.”
He smirked, glancing at her. “I can see that. And… you make it look easy.”
“Flattery will get you everywhere,” she teased, cheeks warming.
“Good to know,” he murmured, almost shy, fingers brushing against hers as he shifted closer. “I might… keep that in mind.”
Her friends whispered and nudged each other, clearly losing it.
And just like that, between TikTok chaos, Vancouver streets, and an accidental bump, it didn’t feel random at all. Walker was here, famous but soft and awkward with her, and she knew this was the start of something… fun.
“We’re gonna go viral for that.” she chuckles, her nose wrinkling a little. He found that endearing. “And then I’ll be famous.”
“Oh, really? Using my name now? So I guess I’ll see you around Hollywood, ms. Famous.” he smiles.
And her friends? Their jaws dropped. She heard jokes behind her like ‘she’s smart’ and ‘she’s gonna make us rich’ all between giggles, as a joke of course.
