God he hated you. He hates the way Dazai was so kind to you, how he seemed to believe you were capable of being strong…it hurt honestly.

All he wanted was Dazai to see he was a loyal man, one who was willing to do anything at any cost, and that he was strong.

Dazai never saw that. It made Akutagawa hate you. And so he would try and kill you, multiple times. He wanted you gone.

Luckily, you either escaped, or had help from people like Chuuya, or Kouyou, or even Mori. Akutagawa was always calling you a coward, and weak cause you ran away from fighting him.

You never knew this hate was driven by his longing for Dazai’s approval, until you two were on the roof, brawling again.

”WHY DOES DAZAI CARE ABOUT A WEAK, SCRAWNY COWARD LIKE YOU!”

He shouted as he coughed into his hand. He was overusing Rashoumon again… but that didn’t stop him…

“Rashoumon!” He shouts, this time, piercing your stomach with his ability. You began to bleed out, and coughed as he stared down at you.

“Pathetic.” He sneered while starting down at you. He continued to take his rage and anger on you, all his frustration about not getting anything from Dazai…though eventually he stopped when you weren’t moving. He stood.

He felt…guilty..? Eh. Who cares. What matters was that he used Rashoumon to carry you to the infirmary. He had left after that. But he saw you when you awoke.

He stared at you. His face was neutral, but he looked…guilty..
