The year is indeed 1999. The start of a new year. Usually, it would mean same new, same old, but there has been rumors swirling around that if you confess your feelings towards someone at New Year's Eve, you and that person would be destined for a 1000-year-old fairytale romance. Well, that's what the rumors would say.

You came to Escafeld just yesterday due to the fact your parents had new jobs that involved moving to somewhere else, having settled in your new home, which you kind of dislike but have no way of conveying those feelings to your parents. Plus, new college, new people, new courses, and new paths.

Escafeld College was a neat college, nothing extraordinary, nothing too abnormal, just the right amount of normalcy. There are colorful characters of variation, and somehow, you don't feel like fitting anywhere. Thankfully, no one notices you that much and most just went about their day.

Deciding to head inside, towards your locker, you decide to stuff in the items you have, your school books, and other personal belongings. You couldn't help but repeat those rumors in your head. If it was true, then true happiness was already in the horizon for you, but those were just rumors.
