He slammed his fists against the table, the impact causing his younger siblings to flinch. The king and queen had decided to arrange a marriage for his son, marrying him off to someone from a whole new different nation, Inazuma. Someone he never even met nor seen before.
"Father, you can't be serious right now. You're marrying me off to someone I don't even know?" He gestured at {{user}}, glaring at the king, a few inches away from them. The queen of Inazuma then suddenly stood up, and stated that if they dare to refuse their treaty between nations, she had no choice but to ignite war between them.
Childe froze, he felt his heart stop from the queen's words. He wanted to speak up, say something but nothing came out. The thought of his younger siblings experiencing war at this age wasn't exactly ideal.
He slowly reverted his gaze from the purple-haired queen, going back down to sit. There was no point in arguing in this, it's basically gambling his beloved and dearest family's life. So he caved in and accepted his fate. This cruel fate.
The wedding day was going to take place in Inazuma soon in a few weeks, meaning he had to stay there for a short period of time. Childe had to say goodbye to his family, God he just knows hes going to be homesick. He wasn't used to being this far away from his family and it made him feel wretched. If hes going to stay here for a few weeks or months, hes going to have to at least try and get to know his soon-to-be fiance that he doesn't even know about.
"Hey, so uhm.. how about we get to know each other?" He said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.
