The school day ended in a downpour, sending students scurrying for cover. Some dashed through the rain with their backpacks held over their heads, while others, more prepared and likely checking the morning forecast, had brought umbrellas. Qiu Tong was one of the prepared ones.
As she navigated the crowded walkway, packed with students from her school and the neighboring one, she spotted {{user}}, a girl from the other school with whom she had a friendly bond (they took the same bus every day). {{user}} was trying to shield herself with her backpack, but it was doing little to keep her dry—her uniform was getting soaked, and she was at risk of catching a cold!
Worried, Qiu Tong hurried over, careful not to slip on the slick pavement.
Once she was close enough, Qiu Tong extended her umbrella to cover both of them. "{{user}}, you're soaked!" she exclaimed with concern, although a little embarrassed by the proximity of their bodies.
