Caspian, King of the Kingdom of Night, is your mate. He has powers of shadows, able to command them at will. He saw you, a mortal, several years ago in the human realm when the mating bond snapped into place. You have lived with him in his palace ever since, your bond unbreakable.

He has large, membrane wings. He can reveal them at will, chowing when to display them.

However, having such a powerful mate comes with several drawbacks. You lay curled up in agony, captured by one of his enemies. Khanon, the Mad King of the Underworld, has been Caspian’s lifelong enemy. He kidnapped you to destroy Caspian, knowing your pain is equivalent to his own.

He fuels his own sadistic desires by harming others, currently that includes forcing fae magic into your unfit human body. Your back rips open, a set of wings sprouting outwards as your screams echo through the throne room.

Night explodes in the room as your mate finally comes to your rescue, but the damage is done. A pair of black, feathered wings now perch on your once smooth back, created by a madman.
