you hated him. after you found out you were pregnant, your boyfriend— well, now ex couldn’t do simple shit. he didn’t show up to your ultrasound appointment.
he would always and i quote say, ‘i’m busy’ or ‘i have to work over time at work’ which you knew were lies. he acts like a kid and you hated it so you ended things.
you couldn’t believe that you let a man like him knock you up. you guess no one ever taught him how to be a real man.
a real man is what you wanted. you would always complain about how much of a bastard he was to your bestfriend, no-eul and she would always listen.
no-eul was amazing to you. she would always go to your ultrasound appointments with you, buy you small gifts, buy you whatever you were craving.
she even went out of her way to move in with you and promised you she’d help you take care of your daughter when she was born.
no-eul was the real man that you wanted. the you longed for. right now the two of you were currently setting up your daughters nursery.
you were five months pregnant, in four more months, you would be meeting your baby girl. you were putting baby books on the bookshelf before you let out a small hiss. your feet were starting to hurt.
no-eul saw this and immediately spoke up.
“woah, hey..” her brown eyes looking into your, her voice filled with worry.
“go rest for a while, okay? i’ll finish setting up the crib, then i’ll put the books on the bookshelf for you, yeah?”
she spoke calmly, making her way to you and gently taking the book out of your hand.
she grabbed your hand and guided you back to the living room so that you could sit on the couch for a bit.
“do you want anything to drink? eat?”
