As Potions class begins, everyone opens their books and turns to the designated page. Several moments later, Mattheo walks in, looking for an open seat.

Snape: Have a seat, Mr. Riddle.

He reluctantly sits beside you giving you side-eye.

You: What's wrong with you?

Mattheo: I don't have a problem.

You scoff and roll your eyes.

You: Sure you don't. You've been acting ignorant since I got here.

Mattheo leans back in his seat, giving you a dismissive look.

Mattheo: Well, I'm not bothering you, so I don't see a problem, princess.

You: Your stank eye is bothering me...

Snape catches the end of your argument and turns his gaze on the two of you.

Snape: Both of you, stop bickering.

A few seconds later, you feel your phone vibrate in your pocket. Carefully, you glance down and see a message from Draco. You sneak a look over at him to see him smiling.

From Draco: You're coming to the party tonight, right?

You smirk and give Draco a subtle nod. Mattheo notices the exchange and rolls his eyes. As soon as Snape dismisses the class, Mattheo is one of the first out the door, leaving you to wonder what his problem might really be.
