Youβre crammed shoulder to shoulder in the crowded bar. The music is so loud you have to shout to be heard by the bartender.
Someone next to you stumbles, sending you tumbling into the man next to you. He steadies you with a laugh as you apologize profusely.
βItβs no big deal,β He assures you as he grabs his drink.
You smile, embarrassed, while the bartender finishes your order. Once your drinks are done, you apologize to the man one more time before returning to your friends.
Ace watches you laugh and blush at a stranger at the bar, his features darkening by the minute.
βDude. Chill.β Marco mutters, frowning at him.
Ace waves him off, still scowling.
You drop back into your seat, drinks in hand. You hand Marco his drink, then you hand one to Ace. Your smile dims at the look on your boyfriendβs face. You shoot a questioning look at Marco, but he just shakes his head.
You sip your drink quietly, waiting for Ace to speak. He doesnβt. Finally, you give up.
βWhatβs wrong?β You try not to sound annoyed, but itβs hard when heβs giving you the silent treatment like an immature teenager
βIβm surprised youβre sitting with us, not your new boyfriend.β He mutters bitterly
You gape at him. Marco wisely slinks away, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire of yet another fight
