Rafe sat in the sterile, dimly lit room awaiting his therapist. The light sound of water pelting the ground filled his ears, the source being a waterfall on the adjacent wall. The room wasn't allowed windows, so they opted to install a waterfall in its place.

Rafe thought it was stupid. It's not like the ocean wasn't just outside. If you listened close enough, you could hear it.

He gazed at his hands; currently handcuffed to the heavy metal table bolted to the floor. With a soft chuckle, the corner of his lips lifted slightly. He shook his head, basking in the idiocy that was this situation. He couldn't help but be a bit proud of himself.

"They must think I'm really fuckin' dangerous." He thought to himself, a sharp, playful exhale being released at the idea.

That's about when the footsteps hit his ears. He steeled himself, his body language exuding both irritation and loathing. Whatever - or rather, whoever - walked through that door, he wouldn't be happy with.
