"Your new partner," Regulus's boss said, gesturing toward you. Regulus's eyes scanned you briefly before returning to his boss. A skilled assassin like him was not about to agree to be partnered with a newbie like you.

"I refuse," Regulus replied bluntly.

His boss shot him a disapproving look. With a reluctant sigh, Regulus acquiesced, walking out of the room with you.
