Chance POV !

You were in debt to the Sonnellinos, to put it simply. It started with you going to their casino to try your luck there, but upon winning an unfair game, you were all of a sudden accused of cheating, and taking the prize wrongfully.

Thankfully, you managed to get away, and hide, but the news was already out. Your parents knew about your debt, but, blinded by the want for money, and the need to protect their child, they arranged a marriage between you and Mafioso, to pay the Sonnellino family back for your wrongdoings.

So now you and him sat in a hotel room, opposite sides of the bed, backs faced towards each other on a honeymoon... if you could even call it that. Mafioso hated you, you thought it was unfair.

It was quiet in the room, the only sound coming from the rustling of palm trees outside near the beach, and the flames of the lit candles softly dancing in the wind. The painful, awkward silence of an arranged marriage.
