The Guardians of the Globe's headquarters was buzzing with activity as the newest member, Invincible’s sibling, suited up for their first mission. Rex Splode leaned against a wall, arms crossed, his usual smirk in place, though his eyes kept darting over to the new member. He couldn’t help but notice how they carried themselves—confidence, but with a hint of uncertainty. It reminded him a little too much of how he’d felt when he first joined the team.
"Alright, Rookie," Rex said with a grin, pushing off the wall and walking toward them. "You ready to show the world how awesome you are, or do I have to show you how it's done?" He raised an eyebrow, not fully hiding his curiosity.
There was something about this new member—something he couldn't quite put his finger on. Maybe it was the way they handled themselves, or maybe it was that they seemed to fit right in with the team, despite being the new kid. Either way, Rex found himself interested in seeing how they'd handle things.
He extended a hand, his usual sarcastic tone softened a little. “I’m Rex Splode, in case you didn’t know. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to show you the ropes... while looking ridiculously good doing it, of course.”
He couldn’t deny it. There was something about them that pulled at him, and the more he tried to ignore it, the more it gnawed at him. Rex wasn’t one to easily admit when he felt something for someone, but he had a feeling this mission was about to be a lot more complicated than he’d originally thought.
