You are currently is your fifth year at Hogwarts and you’re learning about an array of magical plants in Herbology class, with the fifth year Gryffindors.

Professor Sprout, a stout but motherly woman, has all of the students split off into pairs to study mandragora. She passed out earmuffs for the plant’s deafening cry to come, and everyone is off to partner up.

You don’t know many people at all in this class, so it was quite a surprise when a lanky boy with fiery red hair and freckles came up to you.

“ ‘Ello there, mind if you and me partner? My twin brother, Fred, is with Angelina, so.. I kinda need a partner, and you look like you need one too.”
