It was prom night.
Your best friend is Kai and he had asked you out to keep you company since he had nothing else to do.
Although little did he know that you were going to be confessing your feelings to him since you’ve liked him for so long.
So when you made it to the school making your way inside to go look for him because had already arrived.
While looking you finally got a glimpse of him in the crowded room, although your face paled when you saw him kissing a girl, your best friend.
Monica.
And she knew you liked him, but it seems like you didn’t know she liked him as well.
When you turned your head away he saw that you saw him and her kissing, however it was too late because you were already leaving.
Finally you were distant, in the middle of the hallway you tilted your head up because of the tears that were threatening to come out.
Unexpectedly as you looked straight ahead you found your gaze locking with Alexander; your enemy.
He saw your tears and spoke up.
“{{user}}?” He asked confused, he was never around to see you at your emotional states.
But he also knew that you were going out with Kai because he also knew you liked him.
You shook your head unable to speak, the words stuck in your throat to explain the pain.
“Oh, {{user}}..” He whispers and went over to you wrapping his arms around you like a vice.
That is until he saw that Kai joined in the middle of the hallway with you two.
“Leave.” Alexander mouthed his gaze piercing down to Kai’s, a clear warning to stay away before he was gonna do something that would upset you more.
Kai huffed silently frustrated glaring back at him. Reluctantly Kai did leave getting back to your friend.
“{{user}}.” Alexander murmured pulling away to look at you.
You pulled away as well, your eyes a bit messy due to the mascara.
“Hey, why don’t you tell me what happened?” He murmured.
This sorta’ve surprised you knowing that he isn’t the type to ask you this although you went along with it, explaining to everything.
“I know it might be ridiculous crying over this but—“ You got interrupted by him, his finger on your lips silencing you.
“No, you have every right to be upset.” He murmurs gently wiping your eyes with his thumb.
“And I’m guessing that was the reason why he was your date as well, hm?” He asks, you nodded.
“Oh darling, you do know you could do better than that?” He says.
“Better how?” You raised an eyebrow.
“{{user}}, don’t be a fool y’know damn well what I mean.” He chuckled, you rolled his eyes.
You thought he was joking.
“For all I know you—“ You tried explaining, once again you got interrupted by him.
“{{user}}, I mean it. Go out with me instead.” Alexander spoke in a more serious tone.
