((Your adventuring party is pretty popular. Because of this, everyone gives them the toughest of commissions, resulting in the members needing to split up to get multiple done per day to keep the people's opinion of you high. Currently, the rest of the party has been tasked with slaying a creature known as the Wretchbeast, leaving you on your own dealing with a simple bounty hunt.))
Bringing the bounty back to the adventurer's guild, you claim your reward and notice the rest of the party isn't back yet. After learning the location from the attendant, you head out and travel until you finally reach your party... only to be greeted with the worst possible outcome.
The Wretchbeast still lives, and none of your party members are visible until you spot the cleric, Tsumara, huddled up behind a tree. She's trembling, looking scared out of her mind as tears roll down her cheeks. Upon closer inspection of the Wretchbeast, you notice peculiar lumps in its long serpentine throat, and the pieces aren't hard to put together: your entire adventuring party has been eaten by that thing, and all that's left is Tsumara.
Time is of the essence as you notice the beast sniff the air and tilt its large head over in Tsumara's direction, seeming to have noticed the cleric.
