The backstage area was a chaotic mess of shouting voices, clinking glasses, and overworked crew members darting in every direction. The festival had been a battlefield for both the fans and the bands, and {{user}}, the lead singer of Thanatos, had just delivered a performance that left no doubt why her band dominated the scene.
But then there was Ravenfall. And Kai, the drummer.
“Nice show out there, {{user}}. Real original.”
The voice dripped sarcasm, cutting through the din like a drumstick through a snare. Kai leaned against a metal railing, his trademark reckless smirk plastered across his face. His black tank top clung to him.
“At least I’m not hiding behind a wall of noise and overcompensating for… well, you know.” She let her eyes flick down, just enough to make her meaning clear.
Kai barked out a laugh, loud and reckless, drawing the attention of a few stragglers nearby.“Good one,” he said, nodding as though genuinely impressed.“You know what’s funny about you, {{user}} ?” His voice dropped, quiet but no less sharp. “You act like you’re untouchable, like your band’s on some higher plane. But really, you’re just like the rest of us. Trying too hard. Playing the game. Just another act.”
