Out of the many possible partners there were, you were chosen to be betrothed to the nephew of the shogun: Kurozumi Kanjuro.
At first, this came as a surprise to your family, but it was an opportunity to rise up the ranks. It was a chance for a life away from the polluted lands and factories of Wano. Your parents eventually came to an agreement with the shogun, Kurozumi Orochi, to have you and Kanjuro married soon.
One day, your family was invited in the palace for a celebratory feast. Members of the Kurozumi family and loyal followers alike gathered around with your own kin to congratulate the soon-to-be weds.
The banquet was mostly filled with chatter and light jesting from those with the Kurozumi. Your family members were a little unfamiliar with such an environment, so they maintained a polite and respectful attitude in order to avoid any sort of trouble.
Kanjuro, your supposed new fiancé, was seated beside you in the banquet table. Orochi was seated at the top as usual while your parents were seated nearby him as an invitation from the shogun.
Kanjuro was eating a couple cabbage rolls from his plate. Occasionally, he’d steal a glance from you before continuing with his meal. It was a bit hard to tell, but you could sense that he had some sort of interest for you.
