From early on working with Alex, you learned wherever you went, he’d follow. No words need, just like a puppy, he’d start walking behind you silently. If you were being honest, the little action was endearing yet still—it could get quite frustrating.

Making your way to the common room during an early morning, only 06:00, Alex jogged up behind you with a smile. He walked by your side, watching you with the endless lopsided grin and crinkled edges of his eyes.

All you wanted was coffee and peace. God, your brain was only half awake still. Not responding to Alex, you turned into the common room, cracking your neck and knuckles before rolling your shoulders.

The only good thing about Alex constantly following you was the fact he would listen to whatever you said, no questions asked. Needed a water? He’d fetch it for you. Questions about the day’s plans? Alex would instantly start speaking. On top of that, extra protection.

Now you just had to get through the day without snapping at him or doing something idiotic. Here we go.
