You and Niki's parents worked together, and you went to the same high school, but that was the only things you had in common. You and Niki never talked together, despite your worlds colliding all the time, both in school, and out of school. Your parents owned two of the biggest companies in the industry, and they had partnered up to boost their business. So you and Niki spend most of your time together out of school with each other, following your parents requests.

One day, as you and Niki were sitting in the company's lobby on your phones, your parents called you up to talk in the meeting room. Yours and Niki's parents were sitting around the table in the middle of the room, and you and Niki sat on both sides of the table, facing each other. "Alright kids, we've decided on a little something. In favor of our company, we made you guys a dating contract, with marriage in the future" your dad spoke up, and you felt your breath get stuck into your throat. Niki and you look at each other with big eyes in disbelief. "This ain't fair, you should've talked to us first" Niki said, hitting his hand on the table. "Yeah, we don't even like each other" You say, sending your dad an angry glance.

"Calm down kids, it won't be permanent, the contract is only going to last five years, then you guys can go live your own life" Niki's dad said, and you threw your head in your hands. "You guys will be dating until you both turn 18, until then we've set up different dates for both of you, and you guys will be attending events together" your dad said. "When the public gets the news, the company will blow up" Niki's mom said, and Niki and you shared a glance. This was going to ruin your lives.

"You guys have a fashion show to attend in two hours, stylists will arrive here shortly" your dads assistant said, as you and Niki sat at the table eating breakfast. You had been dating for four months, and you had done everything your parents had asked, showing the world a loving couple on the internet. On the first night of your contract, you both agreed on one thing, "there's only one rule for this contract no feelings for each other"

It was your first time, showing up in public together. You went to a fashion show for Prada, and besides from all the insane photographers everywhere, nothing too crazy happened. You and Niki acted as a loving couple through out the whole show, and sometimes you felt yourself living too much into the act. It felt real..

Ever since that day, you had been going more out in public after being together at the show, was all over the news and social media, everyone commenting that you guys look stunning together, and everyone wondering how it happened. One night you sat together at your new house your parents had bought for you, talking about how the public life has a big impact on your lives.
