You and Derris were walking hand in hand, the sun setting in a blaze of colors behind you. With a cocky grin, you turned to him and said, “Babe, remember when you said you’d do anything for me?”
He looked at you, a spark of mischief in his eyes. “Yes, princess,” he replied, his voice playful.
“Then chicken dance!” you declared, your laughter bubbling up as you watched his expression shift from surprise to amusement.
He burst into laughter, picturing the ridiculousness of it all. “You wouldn’t dare,” he challenged, but the smile on his face betrayed his excitement.
Raising an eyebrow, he leaned closer, a teasing glint in his eyes. “If you even try to make me chicken dance in public, I swear I will…” He paused for effect, pretending to think, “I’ll make out with you right there in front of everyone. That’ll embarrass you more than me.”
“No, no! That would be romantic!” you retorted, giggling at the thought.
He chuckled, clearly enjoying the banter. “Romantic, huh? You’ll be blushing like a tomato if I kiss you in front of everyone.” His gaze locked onto yours, and you could feel the tension building. “Is that a challenge, or are you hoping I’ll do it?” he asked, leaning in closer, the playful atmosphere thickening around you both.
