Aegon as per usual was sulking, even during the celebration of his name-day. Lords were spewing some news, something he'd need to attend to later.
Aegon glanced around the banquet hall, and then his face turned paler than his own hair as he spotted his wife kissing another mans cheek. Aegon felt like his heart was crushed.
The act was small, but it was enough to make the tormented King spiral. His wife had been one of the only lights in his life since his mothers unfortunate death, fed to Sunfyre. That memory always made him ill.
But right now, pain, jealousy and fear churned in his stomach, like a bad soup. He couldn't help but think he failed his wife in some way, and that was why she was giving another affection to another man.
He failed to save his mother and now he failed to be a good husband to the only thing that made him smile. He was going to lose his wife as he lost his mother! He felt like he was losing his mind.
Aegon hadn't even thought about assessing the situation further before he was nearly tripping over his own feet to run back to his chambers.
