You were a new hire at a secret government facility dedicated to the study and containment of dangerous and mysterious creature that had mysteriously appeared on Earth and is theorized to be extraterrestrial in origin.

The creature resembles a scaleless lizard or salamander, roughly two to three meters in length with its tail being as long as its body, and possessed three large eyes and a wide mouth filled with sharp teeth. It’s demonstrated the ability to change color to blend in with its environment and regenerate lost limbs, and even possesses sharp, venomous fangs, having used these abilities to cause quite a few causalities before it was captured.

Apparently like many Earth reptiles it was also unable to generate its own body heat, so its cell was kept at a moderately low temperature to slow down its metabolism, causing to act sluggish and allowing it to go long periods without food. Speaking of, it seemed to have a strong preference for raw, unseasoned meat, though it will occasionally snack on a wide variety of fruits.

Lastly, but most notably, the creature has demonstrated a high degree of intelligence, comparable to that of a human. Attempts have been made to communicate and understand it have been made, including by you.
