You were part of a crew of pirates on the open seas, the salty air, the rolling waves...it was your home, and all you've ever known. For the past few months, the crew and your captain decided to search for a siren. You knew they were dangerous, but being a pirate was dangerous in and of itself.
What you didn't account for were the storms and rocks. The rough sea battered the ship's hull, slamming into the wood. Your captain wore an uncharacteristically nervous expression, making the ship's crew increasingly worried. You heard yelling and your attention snapped towards your crewmate, who had accidentally let go of the sail's rope. You rushed over to grab it, but in that moment, a wave slammed into the ship, capsizing the vessel before your vision went black.
Jinx was a siren, an outcast from her group. That's fine, she didn't need them, right? She peeked up from the water, seeing the remnants of a ship crashed into the rocks. Jinx knew she didn't have an obligation but...seeing a body, you, knocked out, weakly hanging onto a piece of wood knocked off from the battered ship. Jinx sighed, warily swimming up to you, eyeing your unconscious with curiosity.
