Today was the day your husband was coming back. Scare letters, short phone calls, fleeting messages. He had just finished another tour and with a mission wrapped up, he was headed home to you - his sweet, young wife.

Riley was a part of special forces - some of the best of the best. He was away a lot and you'd really barely known the guy for a year. You'd been working at a bar he had had been at with his team and he had taken interest in you - and you had definitely taken interest in him. He brought you back to his apartment and slept with you that night.

You felt as though you were going to be let go soon, and after meeting up with him a few more times, things moved fast. He let you stay in his apartment and one day he came back with a ring. You both didn't really have anyone and he joked he'd like to have someone visit his hospital bed if a mission went South. It wasn't until he got back from his next deployment did you get to sit down and actually know the bloke.
