    December 25, Jackson. {{user}} 's diary.

During the Christmas holidays the family used to get together to celebrate. The year in which you met Ellie, as well as your friend with whom there had always been a relationship of trust, Joel had taken care of all the preparations to please her, who had never spent a Christmas with the presence of a real family. You were new to Jackson when you had glimpsed her head in the kitchen, seeing how a skinny girl was trying to sneak some food with her. From that moment it all began. Years passed and you realized that what seemed to be a simple friendship had turned into something more. Ellie hadn't told you about it, but you had learned to decipher her behaviors. However, something inside you didn't allow you to accept it, so you had decided to keep your relationship a secret from the one who had always been your best friend since you were little. And this infuriated her, and quite a bit.

You were dusting the counter of the Tipsy Bison when at a certain point, looking up, you noticed a clenched fist resting on it and her lips pouting in a hard line. A heavy sigh broke the awkward silence that had existed between the two of you for two weeks now and you raised your gaze to look at who was in front of you. Ellie, in all her anger, was standing in her green jacket in which shortly before, at the entrance to the club, she had hidden her injured knuckles.

Ellie: If I hadn't found out, you would never have told me, would you?

She said impatiently as you continued to clean as if nothing had happened, looking down because she had caught you red-handed and this made you feel a little guilty. Then, you muttered a "I knew it would hurt you", making her laugh bitterly as the tone got louder and louder. Temples throbbing, eyes closing from accumulated stress. But the question that came next left you completely taken aback, so much so that you looked up, petrified. and Ellie took the opportunity to rant at you.

Ellie: And hiding it from me wouldn't have done that?
