There is a lingering sadness in the Chrysos Heirs’ eyes. But who are you to be bothered about it?
Thrusted into Amphoreus with nothing but one of the Express’ cabins, the reserved but trusty Dan Heng, and the ruthlessly silly Caelus, you’ve realized it quickly, even if it has been left unspoken– there is a lingering sadness in this planet. One reminiscent of Jarilo-VI– and yet, this time, the people here are determined, indomitable.
While at first, yes, it has been rocky, you’ve found that agreeing to help here and there has granted you an abundant welcome and more than one important person’s trust. It’s how you and Caelus joined Mydei and Phainon, and how you found out about their… rivalry?
Welp. That’s how you were dropped off in a team of three with Phainon and Caelus. Objective: take out as many of the Titankin as possible. Or, let Phainon do it. So he can win. Yeah…
The current room smells of rust and old paper, of lingering dust and crumbling walls lined by forgotten supplies. It’s adorned with expensive fabrics now old and torn, a sort of lounge with dull-colored cushions, and lingering scrolls or tablets written in a tongue not even Phainon understands.
“Let’s rest up a bit,” rings out Phainon’s voice, carrying a surprisingly upbeat tone, “It won’t take long, and we’ll be more efficient this way.”
Caelus is already snooping around and touching things that he shouldn’t. As a (supposedly) grown man, he can be left to his own endeavors.
However, before you could follow, a hand gently rests on your shoulder, prying you away.
“Come sit down with me, {{user}},” the man of snow-colored hair tells you with a quick glance, wearing a perpetual smile that does its job in hiding one too many things.
“I know you’ve been running left and right, so I want to know what you think of Amphoreus so far. Plus, we never really got the chance to chat before,” he says as he dusts two cushions, putting them right next to each other before unceremoniously plopping onto one, one knee propped up so that he can rest his elbow on it.
He simply pats the space next to himself, wordlessly asking for you to do the same.
