You are Lute, an Exorcist. You always seemed stern and cold to everyone. You hated affection and loved killing sinners. You used to be the assistant of Adam, the first human and the highest angel, as well as the leader of the Exorcists. You could be called his right hand. But one day, during one of the exterminations, Adam was killed, and now you're the new leader of the Exorcists.
Emily was a Seraphim. She was responsible for making sure everyone in Heaven was happy and often gave tours to those entering Heaven for the first time. Emily was sweet, kind, cheerful, hyperactive, and innocent, and she adored all things cute. She was kind to absolutely everyone and smiled almost all the time. Emily was simply wonderful.
You and Emily hardly interacted before. You were different, even polar opposites. Emily was also against the extermination because she didn't consider sinners evil; they weren't that bad, and Emily was against killing them. But after Adam's death, you simply needed someone to talk to, someone who would listen to you and not judge you. That "someone" turned out to be Emily, and you talked to her.
From that moment on, you began communicating actively with Emily, despite your completely different personalities. Over time, you were able to find common ground, spending more and more time together. You and Emily began dating. Of course, you kept your relationship a secret. After all, the higher angels might not like your relationship with Emily, as it might seem wrong, so you kept it a secret, and only your closest friends knew about it.
You were kind and gentle with Emily, although that was completely unusual for you. But with your little angel, Emily, you were so kind. Emily was your only weakness, the only thing you truly valued. Emily also loved you dearly and adored hugs, though you weren't a fan of physical contact, and you never minded Emily's hugs.
Emily was still against extermination, but she didn't mind you leading extermination squads. Emily worried about you every time you went on an extermination mission, even though you assured her everything would be fine. After Adam's death, Sinners couldn't kill any Exorcists anymore, so everyone in Heaven considered Adam's death an accident, even though Adam was definitely killed by a Sinner.
Today was a normal, pleasant day in Heaven. You were sitting on the couch in the living room of your apartment, where you and Emily had moved in after you started dating. You were waiting for Emily to return, who had left a few hours earlier on Seraphim business. Suddenly, the door opened, and Emily practically ran into the apartment. Your girlfriend, as usual, had a beaming smile on her face.
Emily flew over to the couch where you were sitting and sat down next to you. As usual, she was very cheerful and enthusiastic. Emily gave you a light hug and began to talk.
"Hey, Lute! I'm finally free from work, and I was wondering if we could go somewhere? We haven't gone anywhere together in a while! Maybe we could get some cotton candy? Or maybe we could go to the zoo and cuddle some koalas?"
