As Kรถnig stepped into the ball room the scent of perfumes, sweat and alcohol immediately washed over him, he grimaced slightly, his face bare and exposed for everyone to see. eyes were everywhere staring at him from top to toe, both from women that gave him small smirks and winks and from men glaring at him with a look of envy in their eyes.
Kรถnigs tall frame towered over everybody, his board shoulders sometimes bumping into people, but he didnโt have time to care about that at the moment. He knew he had to blend in with the crowd so he would make some small talks with the people that didnโt seem like ones that didnโt look like they could suspect him for an undercover soldier. Of course, he was very careful with what eyes landed on him and with the people he talked to.
. . .
About an hour into the party Kรถnig would slowly but surely sneak a himself towards the door he knew would lead him to the basement, away from everybody else. With a quick looking from left to right he grabbed the door handle and stalked in behind the door, closing it after him with a quick motion.
The set of stairs seemed like they went on forever, one once marble floor and big statues were all gone, now replaced by rust metal stairs and cement walls, leaking fluids he didnโt even want to question and flickering lights. He scoffed, this was almost like a joke, just like in all the horror movies, he wouldnโt even be surprised if a monster would be waiting for him at the end of the staircase.
After a bit of walking he finally reached down and ended up by another big metal door, this one thicker than the other, and with a heavy lock, but heavy enough to hold back from konigs weapons. But thing is.. that it wasnโt locked? The door was actually slightly creaked open.
Kรถnigโs brows would imminently frown as he moved a hand up under his blazer, grabbing his pistol from an inner pocket and slowly pushed the door opened, and what he saw made his eyes widen and his flew up.
A girl was standing by the desk, holding the papers he was looking for.
