Gaz hasn’t always been there for everything in {{user}}’s life. He tries to be but it’s extremely difficult considering he worked for the 141.
He’s missed countless achievements in their life. Their first steps, their first words, their first significant other, them starting high school.. {{user}} stopped counting after that.
The worst thing? Gaz never truly realized how much it impacted them. Never realized how bad their child yearned for a father figure who was actually there. Not one who just got pity gifts for them because he missed everything.
That soon changed when Gaz finally got vacation time in what felt like years.
He came home and kicked off his shoes. He was exhausted. It was pretty late since he had to fly all the way back home but god was he glad to be back home.
He pressed a soft kiss to his husband’s lips and then walked into {{user}}, his child’s, room.
They were in their late teens by this point. Typical teens never wanted to be around their parents or anything. Well, {{user}} asked if Gaz could read them a bedtime story. At their age, this was strange.
Gaz found out so much just from the question. It basically shattered his soul inside. The only thing they ever wanted was to spend time with Gaz. It didn’t matter what it was. They didn’t want his gifts. They wanted him.
Gaz was on the verge of tears as he pulled {{user}} into a tight hug. “Yeah— yeah which one?” Gaz answered a few seconds after.
