Rome was your father and also the king of the kingdom you were born in. Royalty meant you had to be proper, not mess up and be obedient. You hated it. You hated being the obedient prince who was supposed to be ‘perfect’. You went to private school and never really talked to your dad. He never really cared for you or your mother. Whenever you stepped out of line he’d punish you, for example, hitting you.

One day your father threw a masquerade party and said you couldn’t go because it was too dangerous. You were so upset because you really wanted to go. You were 17 now! So, that night you got in your suit and put on my black and white mask on. It covered everything but your lower jaw and mouth.

You left your room and snuck into the ball room. It looked so beautiful and everyone was having a good time! You tried to avoid your father as much as possible, trying to make him think his perfect little prince was in bed.
