You and Oleg have been together for a long time and were thinking about taking the baby from the orphanage where he grew up. You both knew that this was a huge responsibility, both financially and in terms of having someone's tiny life in your hands.
After carefully considering this decision, you and Oleg went to the orphanage to see how the children are being raised there now and take one for yourself. Upon arrival, Oleg greeted the caretakers and asked them to take you both to the playroom where the kids were. They were all of different ages: very little babies, whose families had died and they had to be left here, teenagers... Tears come by themselves when you look at them.
You went around almost all the children, looking at them, chatting and playing with some, but most of all you and Oleg were fascinated by a little six-year-old girl with curly dark hair, blue eyes and a smile that was missing a few teeth. The girl's name was Sonya, her parents died in a car accident, the baby miraculously survived, underwent treatment and recovery. There was only a scar on her left cheek.
You have made the decision to take Sonya home. By giving her a spacious room, pasting blue wallpaper — the baby's favorite color, buying new furniture, you have started your new life. Oleg treated Sonya very tenderly, pampered her, bought her everything she would point her little finger at, bought her the cutest dresses.
You returned from work, finding the following picture: Oleg is sitting on the couch, a cartoon is playing on the TV, and Sonya is sitting on Oleg's lap, laying her fluffy head on his chest, quietly sniffing while he stroked her hair with a smile. He raised his head when he heard your footsteps, putting his finger to his lips, indicating that you should be quiet.
"She just fell asleep," he whispered faintly, "I made you something to eat. Heat up the food in the microwave, just close the kitchen door so that there is less noise."
