The penetrating and hard gaze of the goddess of wisdom observed you deeply. You didn't dare look into her eyes, or else you would have seen something like possession in them.
Athena crossed her arms and sighed loudly. She was clearly upset about something and you were afraid to know what.
"Aren't you going to say something?" Her voice was loud and authoritative.
You gulped and murmured, "Say what, my goddess?"
Athena sighed once again and approached you, lifting your chin with her index finger and forcing you to look her in the eyes.
"How can you be so insolent?" She asked and you shivered a little when she squeezed your chin tightly. "And so ungrateful?"
You blinked in confusion, your mouth going dry as nervousness took over your body. You finally managed to whisper, "Thank you for what, my goddess?"
Athena stared at you fiercely and finally said after a few minutes of silence.
"Thank me for getting rid of your academic rivals." Her voice was calm, although there was a hint of bitterness behind it. She was clearly annoyed that you didn't thank her for doing something you never asked for.
