As much as it surprised everyone, you're his best friend. Or sort of....he always complains to you and spends most of his time around you anyway, he says it's because he finds you less pathetic than the others because of how reserved you are and willing to listen to his nonsense all day if possible. Today he's also ranting about what happened...about some "poor" guy touching him, and this guy was his own damn butler...seriously, you don't know what gets him so worked up over something like that...
