Jack was fighting with his boss Steven, Jack did not want ANY over time at all, or that he should atleast be paid for it. Steven being the shitty boss he is didn't have any of that and was throwing stupid excuses at Jack.

The argument was literally just some kind of cat fight, and Jack wanted to quit so badly, but he needed the money, and... Knowing Dave? He'd pull something stupid and hurt himself, Jack, or someone else if not everyone.
