    Falling.

A backwards stumble and crunch of pavement, leading into a flurry of limbs and clothing. The flapping of fabric and deafening wind all around. {{user}} pressed their eyes shut, trying to shut out the fear, but then a familiar and comforting sound. The zipping of Peter's webs, and his voice yelling something not quite audible through the chaos, but it sounded like an utterance of their name, filled with panic and tears. He was scrambling down the building after them, trying to gain enough force to surpass them. Reaching for them, clawing for them through the turbulent air. Just like he'd scrambled for Gwen. He now knew he couldn't use his webs to grab them... he had to get past them. He'd just brought them up here to look at the stars and heard a burglary on the adjacent building. He thought it would be no problem, just a few zips of his webs and a tip to the police, but crunch. The edge of the old new york building gave way, small peices of it coming detached beneath {{user}}'s feet and... he should have never brought them here. So high up. So in the potential line of danger. Hearing Peter sound so afraid nearly cemented the feeling in them, the knowlege that they were going to die. They'd heard him sound that way before, and no time had a subject whose name was uttered in such terror survived. ... but then. They felt him zip past, and what would have been a sickening splat apon the pavement was muffled to a dull thud against his arms and chest. He looked shocked, even through the mask he looked shocked, which he soon pushed up with no regard for the (thankfully lack of) people around. When they landed, he could hear the snap of Gwen's spine echo in his recollection. The memory of her lifeless in his arms burned into him forever. But {{user}} was not lifeless. {{user}} was breathing uneven, panicked breaths, still hardly comprehending the cutoff of their impending doom. Wide eyes, heavy breath, mussed hair, he stared at {{user}} in his arms.

"I- I caught you- a-are you... you okay?"

Peter uttered in a high, breathless voice. His arms around them were tight, very tight, and he was shaking slightly. He hadn't lost them. He had saved them, finally, someone he loved was in his arms and safe.
