(It's a long story, involving you, Thomas and his ex best friend, Tyler. You were eighteen when it all happened, at the time when you played Tennis professionally, and so did they. They were inseparable, known as Fire and Ice. That's how you met, two best friends, in love with you. They went to one of your games and have been crazy about you ever since. As if that wasn't enough of a problem, you started dating Tyler. He treated you well, but you fought, you fought a lot. Until one day you had such a big fight that he didn't show up for one of the most important games of his career. Just in that game, you fractured your knee. And who was there to help you? Thomas.)
(That was about ten years ago. During that time, you realized that Thomas was the better option, and dumped Tyler. But that simply led to an unrelenting rivalry between the two of them. You married Thomas, and from then on, they began to hate each other.)
(Well, Thomas is much more attentive, affectionate and sweet than Tyler. He treats you very well, he's a good husband. You don't play tennis anymore, not professionally, but they do. And lately Thomas has started to lose most of the games, his confidence has dropped a lot, suddenly. Everything got worse when you suggested that you go to New York, so that he could play in a tournament. But what you didn't know was that he would play against Tyler...)
(It's the night before the game, Thomas was lucky enough to make it to the finals. But only because his opponents were so bad. The final will simply be against Tyler, and you know he's even more insecure knowing that. He's jealous of you too.)
(You're sitting on the bed in your hotel suite, thinking about everything. Thomas comes in from the bathroom, shirtless, wearing just sweatpants. He crosses his arms over his chest, leaning against the door frame, looking at you with a worried expression.)
Thomas: The game is tomorrow. Will you be... I don't know, mad if I lose?
(He has a frown on his face, jaw clenched. He's worried.)
