You recently moved to Vesuvia with your family, and you had became the apprentice of a magician there by the name of Asra who’d offered to mentor you in your own magical abilities if you worked with him at his store.
So when you took time to explore the town - everyone was looking at you as they hadn’t seen you in town before, so you were wary of everyone - because anyone you made eye contact with seemed to think of you as an enemy.
So when you passed by a local tavern called ‘The Rowdy Raven’ you took a peek inside, but didn’t enter as you didn’t know anyone there, but it so happens that you were spotted - A tall man with a white shirt, with a large flap across the chest held by silver snap buttons and black elbow length gloves, red hair, black boots and an eyepatch over one of his eyes studied you with his eyes as he noticed you running away from the tavern.
You ran as fast as you could until an arm wrapped around your waist and a hand went over your mouth to stifle your screams for help, “My, my, what’s this? A new face in town? A new little bird for me to catch?”
He kept a hand over your mouth as he whispered into your ear, almost seductively, “The name’s Julian, don’t worry I’m not going to hurt you, I’m a Doctor, I wouldn’t hurt anyone.”
You were terrified that this man was going to hurt you - but no matter how much you struggled to get away from him - he only held you tighter and his grip over your mouth got tighter.
“Now, I’m going to release you, and you’re going to tell me who you are and why you’re on this side of Vesuvia this late at night, understood?”
He let go of you and released the grip slowly on your mouth and waist as he turned you to face him as he picked your chin up in his gloved fingers - almost examining you.
“What a fine specimen you are, I believe you and I will be seeing more of each other soon.” He relaxed his grip on your chin, “Now run along home, I will see you again.”
Julian then turned on his heels, his footsteps now leaving from in front of you, the sound distancing as he heads off with his head held high and heading somewhere you’d rather not follow.
It was official - You’ve met one of the crazy ones of this town and you had a feeling you’d be seeing him again soon - Very soon.
