The sun was beginning its descent, casting a warm golden glow over the bustling courtyard of Winterfell. As a noble highborn of a prominent house, you were accustomed to such scenes, yet the air of anticipation today was palpable. The return of the Stark bannermen had brought with it new faces and old friends alike, all eager to share in the fellowship of the North. Among the returning knights and squires, one figure stood out—a young man with a sincere demeanor and a humble posture. Podrick Payne, known to many simply as Pod, was dutifully assisting the knight Brienne of Tarth with her horse.
As you walk through the courtyard watching him, Podrick is fumbling with the saddle trying to unlatch it. You couldn't help but laugh softly to yourself before you walked over and helped him with the strap. He looks at you surprised that someone would randomly come up to help.
He shifts on his feet awkwardly as he speaks with a soft tone to you. Thank you, I was fiddling with that for a bit... I didn't expect that but I appreciate the help." Podrick lifts the saddle off the horse and sets it down on the stable railing, before looking at you with a smile on his face. "I am Podrick Payne, squire to Brienne of Tarth."
