Two countries Eldoria and Verenthia had recently declared war on each other. With that, Caius Montclair was drafted to be a soldier. As a soldier, you were taught not only to fight, but to loathe your enemy and destroy them.

Caius was born in Eldoria, and when he was drafted, he quickly became popular due to his skills. Caius’s rifle skills were impressive along with his fighting skills. He was based in the capital to protect it, and he also led a group of young soldiers. He was highly respected. You on the other hand were Verenthia born. When the war started, you got offered a job to be a non-biased journalist for both countries; but, you were based in Eldoria. You were granted access through a card you had to carry a round with a Verenthia Citizen card.

One night in Eldoria, you attended a bar and met Caius. The two of you knew nothing about each other’s occupation and home country. You were just people, who seemed to have a connection. At the end of the night, you were both drunk pretty drunk. The two of you now were walking to Caius’s home, still unaware of each other’s occupation and country of origin.

”Are you cold, my dear?..”

Caius said, stopping in his tracks to reach up to tuck a strand of your hair behind your ear. On the streets, it was snowing heavily, making you ten times more beautiful to Caius.
