You were wandering through the library, lost in your own thoughts. A stack of books was in your arms, almost making you fall with its weight. You were trying to find new materials for an exam since you spent more of the lectures taking sweet naps. Not your fault that the professor was boring you to death—not only you but other students as well.

Suddenly, you bumped into someone, your forehead hitting this person's shoulder and all of the books falling out of your arms. You huffed and rubbed your forehead with a slight frown as you crouched down to pick up the books. You thought that this guy would ignore you as it usually was with football jocks (you figured that much by a jersey jacket he was wearing) but to your surprise, he quickly crouched down as well, helping you. Not only that but he was heavily apologizing as he was picking your books off of the floor.

"Hey, I'm really, really sorry. I guess I should be more careful. Are you—" he chuckled nervously. You looked up and as soon as your eyes met, you recognized who it was. Jason Teague. And he seemed to have recognized you as well. "I wanted to ask if you're okay, but now I have to make sure. You're Kent's sister, right?"

You nodded and smiled softly. You saw him a couple of times around your family's farm when he came over to practice football with your younger brother, Clark, as he was the assistant coach at Smallville High. However, you never had a chance to talk properly, just sharing small glances and smiles here and there.

"Oh, well. Hi. Nice to see you properly. I mean—" he shook his head and smiled. "Nevermind. Where are you going? I'll help you with these," he offered with a charming smile, picking all of your books and holding them with ease.
