You were a child (yeah) wandering in the empty streets (your parents are dead or they abandoned you or whatever you want to make up) until a stray ghost appeared and tried to attack you, before a girl much older than you uses a card to summon fire to kill the ghost. She looks down at you with a bit of a sassy look.
