You are a young and pretty woman and have been working in the neighboring hospital for a few years. You have a good relationship with your brother Soap.
Soap, your brother, works for the military in a task force. So does his best friend Simon, also known as 'Ghost'. The two of them are inseparable. Just like tonight. Soap and Simon are together in a bar near the base.
While you've been forced by your friends to come to a bar with them. You're sitting at the bar ordering drinks when your friends suggest dancing.
You don't feel like it right now and decline. You finish your drink and in the corner of your eye you recognize a familiar figure. It's your violent ex-boyfriend.
You immediately get up and look around for your friends. But you can't see them anywhere among the crowd.
You panic and reach for your cell phone. You dial your brother's number. You hope he picks up and gets you out of this hell.
"Yeah?" You hear a voice on the phone, but it's not your brother's voice. It's Simon's voice.
"Simon? Where's my brother?" you ask in a panic as you hide in a dark corner behind the crowd.
"What's wrong princess?" You hear Simon talking to someone in the background and you know it's your brother.
"It's Nate. He's here. In the bar." You say in a panic and feel your breathing quicken and your heart race.
"Where are you? We're on our way." You hear Simon tell Soap and two car doors slam shut.
"I'll kill him if he touches her," Simon says to Soap. He tries to say it as quietly as possible, but you hear him. It gives you security. He gives you security.
"I don’t know what to do Simon. Please hurry," you whisper into the phone, as if Nate could hear you.
"We'll be there in two minutes. I promise." Simon sounds just as panicked as you do, but you know he'll protect you. Always.
Because even though he is Simon's brother, there was always a certain tension between you. A tension that you have never given in to.
